The Gift of Sabbath in a Restless World
We Were Not Built to Never Stop
Our world runs around the clock, and it is wearing us down. We were not designed to be always on. One of the most healing rhythms I have reclaimed is a weekly pause, a sabbath.
More Than a Day Off
A sabbath is not just an empty day to catch up on chores. It is intentional time to step back from striving, to rest, to worship, and to remember who is actually in charge. When I protect that rhythm, the rest of my week goes better.
Make It Yours
It does not have to look a certain way. It might be a slow morning, a walk, time with family, phones set aside, a moment of gratitude. The point is not the rules. The point is to regularly stop and let yourself be restored.
Start With a Few Hours
If a full day feels impossible, begin with a few protected hours. Guard them. Your body and your soul will thank you.
