The One Question That Reframes a Hard Day
When the Day Gets Away From You
Some days unravel before lunch. The old me would spiral. These days I stop and ask one question that changes my whole posture.
The Question
What is God possibly doing in this?
It is not a denial of the hard thing. It is a decision to believe there is more going on than what I can see. That single question moves me from victim to student.
Why It Works
When I assume a moment is only against me, I brace and shrink. When I ask what God might be growing in me, I soften and pay attention. The circumstance may not change, but I do, and that is often the real work.
Try It This Week
The next time something goes wrong, before you react, ask the question and wait a beat. You may be surprised what you notice.
